Networks
What's this?
A National Network is a group of RCNA members who share an interest in a specialty area of health care. Do you work in adolescent health? Are you an ethicist? Do you run your own nursing business? There are 16 National Networks from a diverse range of specialties and they're open to all our members.
The main functions of RCNA's National Networks are:
- to create networking opportunities for nurses with shared interests and expertise
- to create a forum in which specialist information can be disseminated and shared
- to submit content for Connections, a member-only publication that focuses on the work of RCNA nurses and specialty groups and their relevant organisations.
How does it work?
Each networks are overseen by an editor, a member of RCNA who drives the work and interaction of the network members. Network editors alert their members to new information in their area of interest, and also keep members up to date with calls for material for Connections and other RCNA publications.
Can I join?
As an RCNA member you can join as many networks as you wish. Networks are conducted electronically, so you're not limited by where you live. Membership in a network is free and provides you with a great opportunity to meet like-minded nurses who share your passion.
