Is this the right membership for you?
Companion Members of RCNA are professionals who share interests with nurses in health care for the benefit of the community (such as lawyers or education providers) and who wish to take part in RCNA’s National Networks
To become a Companion, you must demonstrate a commitment to professional excellence within your chosen profession and not be eligible in any other membership category.
Companions are appointed by invitation only. To become a Companion Member, you must be nominated by two members of RCNA, one of whom must be a Fellow.
Your membership package
There are many benefits to Companion Membership with RCNA. As a Companion Member you can:
- join any of RCNA’s National Networks
- receive a variety of RCNA publications
- Memorandum and Articles of Association of RCNA
- Nursing Review, Australia’s top nursing newspaper
- Connections, RCNA’s National Networks magazine
- Collegian, the professionally acclaimed flagship journal of RCNA
- publish papers in Collegian and Connections
- attend RCNA’s conferences at member rates
- participate in RCNA policy response program as determined by your experience and expertise
Please note that Companion Members cannot:
- stand for election to the RCNA Board
- vote at Board elections, Congress or Annual General Meetings
- stand for an executive position of a National Network
- wear RCNA badges
Fees
RCNA Companion Members pay an annual fee of $323. This can be paid in a lump sum of $323, or in 12 monthly instalments of $28 (total: $337)
Payments can be made by credit card, direct debit or cheque. Please note: if paying by cheque, payment must be made in full.
Fees are determined by RCNA’s Board. They are valid until 31 December 2009 and include GST and administration fee. Your membership may be tax deductible - please check with your tax advisor.
